Elka Graham (viestihopea Sydneyssä 2000, kaksi hopeaa vuoden 2002 Manchesterin Commonwealth Games-kisoissa muiden muassa…) on ilmoittanut pistävänsä uikkarit naulaan ja siirtyvänsä uusille urille.

Juurihan Giaan Rooney ilmoitti myös lopettamisesta, sukupolven vaihdos Australian maajoukkueessahan on ollut menossa hiljalleen…

“I am so happy with what I’ve achieved,” she said.

“I’ve been at the top level now for seven years and I have been blessed enough to come home with a medal from every meet except from Athens.

“I just know that there is so much more to me than swimming and I look forward to just stepping out and venturing into the world.”
